Project Title: The effect of different water management techniques in experimental rice fields on abundance of mosquitoes of public health significance

Project Description: In Africa, rice is a rapidly intensifying agricultural crop. Unfortunately, rice field are also ideal breeding sites for mosquitos vectors of malaria and major users of water and generators of methane. Public health and agricultural researchers have separately developed water management methods to address vector production and climate change effects. We would like to develop field trials to integrate these water management approaches to understand if they can be optimized for health and climate change...
